Learn how to use router accessory attachments and make special fixtures to construct sophisticated woodworking joints – such as a dovetail joint using the hand-held router with template bushing, or splined miter and box finger joints done on the router table. This class is a continuation of the Router Techniques I and II classes, and is intended for students with some experience operating a router. Demonstration and plans for specialized jigs and fixtures will be provided. Students may bring their own router to customize fixtures for their machine. Students will have an opportunity for hands-on practice of the skills presented.
What to bring:
- Eye protection is required for hands-on activities – safety glasses will be provided during the class if you don’t have your own.
- Hearing protection is highly recommended.
- Wearing of masks is encouraged – N95 mask is recommended.
- Your own router if you have one.
