DESCRIPTION:Come join us for a one time session to learn how to sew a carrying kit for organizing tools or paint brushes.  The twist is to use old clothes\, tablecloth\, curtains\, to make the organization kit to carry the beloved tools in a safe manner.  Bring a clothing item you wish to repurpose to create your special carrier. Examples of adult clothes large enough are pants\, sweat shirt or long sleeve shirt.  \nBring a sewing machine if you have one is best.  There are a handful of sewing machines in the maker space for use. \nAll levels are welcome.  Sewing skills are helpful\, but a beginner could attend. DESCRIPTION:Students will build a medium size classic six board chest using basic cabinet case construction techniques.\nBasic woodworking processes and safe operation of commonly used portable and stationary power tools taught in our introductory course will be reviewed.\nPlease note: This is not a beginning level class. \n\nProject materials are in addition to the course fee. \nInstructors have years of experience as builders and high school & college woodworking instructors \n\nWednesday evenings 6:15 – 8:45 \nJanuary 25th to March 8th (No class week of February 20th) \n6 sessions – 15 hours\, Fee $225 + $30 materials \nScholarship support is available (email: classes@VashonMakerSpace.org ) \nClass limited to 6 adults (age 18+)\, Location: Vashon High School Woodshop \nWearing of masks is encouraged.
