An introduction to the use of chainsaws and related tools for home tasks and for resolving storm damage involving downed or damaged trees. You will be provided with information on safety, sharpening, maintenance, techniques of use, and also problem solving in more challenging storm situations such as blocked roads, entangled trees, trees fallen on vehicles or buildings. Instructor will be Tom Hudson-Gomez, who has been active in disaster and storm response for fifteen years in the U.S. and Caribbean. A minimum of six enrollees will be required to give the class. Bring a pen, notepad, and any questions or photos from recent storms.
